WHO’S POETIK?

Kasmir Jones, also known by the artist name “POETIK” is a multi-hyphenate creative, a jack of all trades; that works across the mediums of Visual Art, Music, Live Performance, Video, Apparel, Design and more. She is fascinated by how people use design as a form of visual communication and explores the intersections of identity and Black American + Pop culture.




Poetik has been creative consulting and designing work for musicians, brands, individuals and companies such as but not limited to: Janelle Monae, Kokoroko, C.S. Armstrong, Instagram, Voice Media Ventures, Big Sean, Adolescent Magazine, Parkwood Entertainment, Hallmark, Refinery29 and more.


In addition, POETIK is 1/2 founder of the brand THEFUTUREISBLACKOWNED, where she and her partner creates 1-of-1 garments from reconstrcuted knits and fabrics. TFIBO aspires to be a lifestyle brand and platform that uplifts and promotes Black owned business, artists and entreprenuers while providing resources to inspire and elevate the community.
